About Us

Our Story Began in 1968

Wild Country Meats is a local business owned and operated by the Gabriel family in Osage County, Oklahoma. Chris Gabriel’s father started his first job at a meat market when he was 15 years old. That was 1968. Fast forward a few years, and Chris, himself age 15, began his first job at a meat market. He’s been in the business ever since.

Wild Country Meats was incorporated in 1998, but its roots run much deeper. What began with a modest meat display and 6’x8′ walk-in cooler has grown into one of Oklahoma’s most respected meat processing facilities and one of the area’s most loved retail meat providers.

We do business the old fashioned way, and our team works hard every day to earn your loyalty and trust.

Your Meats Processed Your Way

When it comes to the food you put on your table, you want a high quality product delivered from the livestock you raised. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into raising your animals to your standards. We believe you deserve the maximum value from your investment when it comes time for processing.

In order to get that, you need a meat processor you can rely on. One that will cut your meat to your specifications and one that guarantees that the animal you drop off is the meat you take home. Your livestock is tagged upon receiving, and we meticulously track each carcass through the entire process.

You get the beautiful meat cuts you want carefully packaged and professionally managed.

“The meat business is all we’ve ever known.” − Chris Gabriel
